P/M David Lundgreen

Started playing in 1981 in Dungillie Pipe Band (Funen, Denmark).
He later moved to Copenhagen to play with The Heather Pipes and Drums of Copenhagen. He was a piper in the band when the band was upgraded to grade 2 after a successful 1994 season. In 1995 he moved to Scotland to stay at the College of Piping i Glasgow, where he received tuition from the late Pipe Major Angus MacDonald. When he returned later that year, he won the Scandinavian Solo Championship.
After the 1995 season he decided to move to the Holbæk Pipe Band, to take over as Pipe Major. At that time the band was in grade 4. In 1998 the band was upgraded to grade 3B under David's leadership. At the worlds in 2000 the band came 2nd in grade 3B and won the Scandinavian Championships for Pipe Bands.
David has stepped down as Pipe Major but is still a piper in the band. He has won many solo competitions on the Scandinavian Pipe Band scene. David Lundgreen has taught at many band clinics and at the Scandinavian School of Piping and Drumming.

P/M Rune Jensen

Started playing in 1996 in Holbæk Pipe Band.
Received a lot of tuition from David Lundgreen.
Rune was a piper in the Holbæk Band during it's successful period from 1998 – 2000. He took over the band in 2002, during the season of 2003 the band was placed 6th at the worlds in grade 3A. So far the finest result of the Holbæk Pipe Band.
In 2005 Rune moved to Perth, Australia to play with the grade 1 Western Australia Police Pipe Band. Here he that chance to play many concerts with the band and got the grasp of how to set up a band at the highest level and at the same time Rune composed music for the bagpipe. He also recorded music where he plays bagpipe, guitar and didgeridoo.
Upon returning to Denmark he took over the Holbæk Pipe Band again and is now acting as Pipe Major in the band. Under Rune's leadership the band has improved dramatically and is known for it's sweet and solid sound and nice choice of tunes. Rune Jensen has taught at many band clinics amongst others The Shadow Highlanders Pipe Band as the band instructor together with P/M Alasdair McLaren of the Western Australia Police Pipe Band. He has also taught at the Scandinavian School of Piping and Drumming.
